I believe horses and humans can have an amazing bond. I am an avid horse rider and at the ranch I ride at we practice natural horsemanship; or riding with your horse by telling them where you want to go with your body language, not by using any spurs, or other instruments. But, there are other types of horse riding that I believe is cruel cruel..

I’m fine with horse back riding. I love to do it. I know when a horse is treated well they enjoy being taken out for rides. I actually skipped my high school graduation to go horseback riding instead haha
What I’m against isn’t horseback riding, but horse racing. That’s a cruel and ridiculous “sport”. Those horses are pushed to their limits cruelly by people who only care about money. And most are killed once they get too old to race or become injured. Thank goodness for race horse rescues.

I wish horses could could talk to us and tell us what they wanted. :S

I think as long as the horse is treated well it’s fine, when I used to go horse riding I always found the horses really enjoyed going out for rides, they always seemed to know when they were going out for an adventure and seemed genuinely happy
I wouldn’t go horse riding any more however as I’m bigger lol. XD I’d be afraid of hurting the horse haha.

I’ve always wanted to go horse back riding.. but I feel like it would be cruel.. I mean first off I don’t really know how strong they are .. maybe we are a burden .. being on them . Them having to carry us.. plus the way they make them go faster? ? Do you just yell , or don’t you kick them? Or something.. plus.. I’d feel pressure or stress.. if I was a horse.. being yelled at having to carry the weight of a human.. I don’t really know though.. I wonder this question as well though..

How do you guys feel about horseback riding? Some people feel it is unnecessary. But I am an avid horse rider (Western and Trail) and treat them as team members and partners. I highly respect any horse I ride.
