    Ok. I whent To the hospital today and they said I’m anemic for red meat. They don’t understand that Iam a vegetarian! They said I keep on getting sicker and sicker by the minute. So they said that the only thing that can help me is like some alternatives! I have tried all of the alternatives that PETA stated but they don’t work. They keep on telling me to eat meat. I wount do it! It’s so stressful! Help!

    If you’re struggling to get more vegetarian foods that are high in iron in your diet, then why not take a supplement? Also, eating plenty of foods high in Vitamin C can help with iron absorption.

      @littlelotte do you know of any good ones? i need strong ones cuz ever since i became a vegetarian i have gotten tendinitis. Do u know of any good recipies? thanks!

        @SaharaR I’ve heard Floradix Tablets are vegetarian and a good source of iron. I tend to just buy regular veg*n vitamins that also contain a high amount of iron. Or pure iron tablets when I’m anaemic. You should be able to get these in nearly all health food shops or normal pharmacies (or they should at least be able to advise you where to buy them!).

        Also, I have a homemade fruit smoothie most mornings and if I feel I need an iron boost then I add leafy green vegetables (such as spinach) to it as a quick way of getting into my body :)

    @lweske thank you! do you know of any kinds of supplements that i can take? is there any recipes that u recommend? i have been vegetarian for 4 months now. my family dosent agree with it. but my mother does. she accepts the fact that i want to be a vegetarian for the rest of my life! thanks! your so much help.
