• I survived dinner at the Texas Steakhouse... but just barely.

Last night, my boyfriend’s mom invited us to dinner for boyfriend’s brother’s birthday.
    At the Texas Steakhouse.
We’re talking about Buffalo heads hanging from the walls, and stuffed quail and skunks around the tables.
I didn’t say anything, because I try really hard to get along with his family.
I figured “hey, they’re bound to have something I can eat.”
My options were LITERALLY lettuce and tomatoes… and applesauce.
The lettuce was wilted, the tomatoes were squishy, and I don’t like applesauce so I didn’t get any.

I can honestly say, I’ve never been to such a non-vegan-friendly restaurant. Granted, it is a STEAKHOUSE but still… They have to figure at SOME point a vegan or vegetarian is going to get dragged along with their family.

I actually think I’m going to write them a letter about how uncomfortable and disappointing the experience was.

I would send them a letter, if they do not know then how are they to make the experience for future vegans and vegetarians better?
I wish you luck with your letter, I hope it is sent with out trouble and I also hope that they hadd better options for those who do not eat meat, dairy and eggs.

Definitely send them a letter! And let us know how they respond.
