I am a freshman in college and I am taking environmental science courses. I am learning a lot of new info and learning more about info I have already know (animal rights related) I really find this information super informative and most of the people in my class didn’t know what was going on until this class. The lack of education in environmental science is very sad. This is in the college level too, most people never had anything remotely related to this class in high school.
I dont know who or where to start but I feel like i need to convince someone that envi sci should be required to graduate high school (even if it is just a term or semester)
People need to know about there impact on the world. The first step of changing for the better is education.
I agree with talking to your teacher about it and if they agree with you then you two could work together to come up with a means of doing this so that envi science is somehow introduced during high school or even earlier in the education system.
You could write to/petition your local council about inserting a module of environmental science into high school science classes. You could speak to your college teacher about it and see if they have any ideas too.
