What ingredients do you guys think are tough to avoid? It took me a while to learn all the animal ingredients, and I think the sneakiest ingredients are Enzymes (in bread), Monoglycerides (In almost EVERYTHING), Diglycerides, Partially Hydrogenated Lard, Glycerin, Glycine and Natural Flavors.

I find gelatin hard to avoid. Lots of candies and marshmallows, etc contain this disgusting ingredient.

When I first went vegan I made this little wallet-sized card to help me out. Just print it, fold it in half and laminate or cover in sticky-back plastic):

Most of those ingredients you’ve listed can actually be vegan.

    For example:
“Mono- and Diglycerides of fatty acids (glyceryl monostearate, glyceryl distearate) – Emulsifier.
Because this is derived from Glycerine (Glycerol), there may be a slim chance that this might contain animal fats.”

I think milk and whey are the hardest things for me to avoid because they seem to be included in everything these days, even stuff they don’t need to be added to like crisps (chips)!!
