• Is Complete Animal Liberation Possible?

I have been researching the different reasons for supporting animal rights and I’ve come across a lot of good ones. However, it seems like animal rights groups like PETA wants all animals to be liberated including animals used for food, clothing, research, breeding, and entertainment. Several times these organizations have said how there are SO many animals being affected. But if this is true, then what would happen to the animals if they were liberated? For instance, if animal research was banned, then what would happen to those millions of animals? There wouldn’t be enough homes for them live in, so truthfully, is complete animal liberation even possible?

With time and effort, I believe it is very possible.

Please try not to think so small people.

1864 – Black people were slaves in this country.
1953 – They were treated as lowly beings who had to sit at the back of the bus and drink from separate fountains.
2013 – Just 60 years later we have a black president.

Complete animal liberation is possible and it will happen.
The harder we work, the sooner it will happen.

We live in a world where we are still fighting against sexism, racism, slavery, and poverty so a completely liberated world may not be possible, but we should still try to minimize it as much as possible.

No, I don’t think everyone would truly do that. There are way too many people in the world, and we can’t exactly make sure they are kind to animals. However, that doesn’t mean we can change people’s minds about animal liberation. Many people just plain don’t realize the pain that animals go through to bring us such ordinary things like steak, ribs, and others.

If enough people support it, then it can happen.
And we won’t have to worry about those “millions of animals”, it’s currently a case of ‘supply and demand’.

    Hi @NEnglish1,

It’s unrealistic to expect that everyone will stop eating animals overnight. As the demand for meat decreases, the number of animals bred will decrease. Farmers will stop breeding so many animals and will turn to other types of agriculture. When there are fewer of these animals, they will be able to live more natural lives. :)

Honestly? I seriously doubt that complete animal liberation will ever be possible while the human race still exists.
It’s unfortunate, but that it what I truly believe. Humans, as a race in general, thrive on destruction and domination.

It’s possible. Look at all that we have overcome to date. We’re not done yet.

Well anything is possible but I don’t think that animal liberation will ever happen. People love animal meat to eat.

“If people won’t ever stop killing each other, no way in hell we’ll stop killing animals.”

If people won’t ever stop killing animals, no way in hell we’ll stop killing each other.

    fixed it for ya ;)

Well, Animal Liberation certain isn’t going to happen over night. More and more are people begin to realize that its unnecessary for us to use animals for food, clothing, tests etc. so that means not as many animals are being killed each year. When the day comes that all animals are liberated, I think that there will be very few left in slaughter houses, fur farms and labs to liberate because people will come to their senses and choose compassion. So, yes, I think complete animal liberation is very possible, but it will take time and effort :)
