@newyork409 Let me know what they say 🙂
Yeah, it was horrible -.- The regular cola flavor was… consumable, but… eh.
Jones Soda is vegan, and I’m fairly certain Hansen’s soda is vegan. There are probably smaller, natural soda companies who don’t use processed cane sugar, but Jones and Hansen’s are definitely the most readily available. Most major grocery stores I’ve been to carry them.
@Styna Dr. Pepper is my favorite too and I just learned about the majority of cane sugar not being vegan so I e-mailed them just to be sure. It tasted like cough syrup? Yuck! That’s strange but do you know of any other soda that’s vegan friendly?
Most things that include processed sugar are not technically vegan – because it’s SLIGHTLY cheaper to use processed cane sugar, than it is to use beet sugar – and cane sugar is processed using animal bone char. You would have to ask them to be sure, but it’s likely that they use processed cane sugar.
Zevia has a version of Dr. Pepper (which I was really excited about, because Dr. Pepper was always my favorite soda) – it’s made with stevia, is organic, and is actually calorie free… but… it tastes not unlike cough syrup, in my opinion – and it’s also extremely expensive. I was very disappointed that my $2 can of Zevia tasted like medicine :/
