What do you throw in your basket when you go on a picnic? I’m kind of a lazy picnicmaker. Bagels & hummus…pasta salad or bean salad or maybe potato salad…fruit and definitely pie of some kind. Easy yumful stuff like today’s picnicperfect recipes from Hipsterfoods!
Hipsterfoods is a feast of superluscious photos and spinningly simple recipes. Cara and Bob also create the famous Chickpea Magazine…if you haven’t seen it, it’s a an eyeful of vegan heaven. And Cara also runs the Sewindie Shop where she makes and sells her sweetly swoopyloopy hand drawn posters, cards, notebooks and printables…so cute! 🙂

According to the Rules of the Interwebs, you shouldn’t post someone else’s entire recipe, only part of it with a link to the rest, unless you’ve changed the recipe up bigtime.
So spill it…what do you pack in your average picnic basket? Where would be your perfect picnic place? Have you checked out Chickpea Magazine? What one thing would you choose from Cara’s Sewindie Shop? 🙂
Whenever I go for picnics, they’re usually ones I’ve organised for my veg*n group. Everyone brings something along (we have a brief online discussion to make sure there’s not too many of the same thing); some people bring home made stuff, some people just get stuff from the shops – everything is welcome as long as it tastes good!
I usually take along vegan sausage rolls and then something sweet like cupcakes.
I love Sewindie’s egg replacement posters.
