If the infamous McCruelty had vegetarian and vegan alternatives alongside their regular products, would you fellow vegs buy these cruelty free products even though McCruelty stills murders chickens, cows, and pigs?
@peppermintcherry That really sounds quite a harsh judgement there on the peoples appearance. How does someone ‘look’ like they lack common sense? I’m not saying it you need brains to work at mcdonalds or any fast food chain, but at least these people have self respect and work for a living, which is a lot more than most people do these days.
I respect anyone who works for a living.
Can’t say I’ve ever been to a fast food chain and looked at the staff and thought “oh they’re on drugs” however, maybe it’s different here in England. And maybe all the staff in your six local Mcdonalds do look like they are on drugs with no intelligence, but it’s a bit of a sweeping statement to make really isn’t it? And a tad harsh. Maybe the maccies staff think the same about the staff at your work?
@MysteryMalice like i said, majority, but not all. And it’s not just hygiene, it’s the kind of people they get to work there. We have like 6 mcdonald’s in my town, all the people that work there all look like they do drugs and lack basic common sense. I work at a fast food place, but we don’t even consider the kind of people that generally make up McDonald’s employment pool
@peppermintcherry I agree, especially on the topic of subway, in fact as I remember peta2 actually mentions/mentioned about going to subway on the going veg is easy page and suggested going to subway and getting the veggie sub as it’s vegan. :/ I guess it’s because Maccies and KFC are huge international chains. Then again, doesn’t subway have outlets all over the world too?
On the subject of ‘nasty workers’ I think that’s generalising a bit, any place that serves you food could have someone with poor hygiene touching and serving you food.
@VeganCaramel as I understand. I was only using McDonald’s as an example for the question; I was not saying they are the only restaurant that condones cruelty. For the sake of the argument, this particular company was used, just as easily as Burger King or Wendy’s . No one thinks that only McDonald’s participates in these cruelties.
