    So, im a fairly young vegetarian. Its been about a year since ive started and its gone good, except one thing, Ie gained weight/fat. What are good meal plans that get daily nutrition but also taste good.

    One great way to make sure you’re staying healthy as a vegetarian is to cut out the dairy and try vegan! Went I first went vegetarian, I was eating a ton of cheese, so I actually gained weight. It was only when I went fully vegan that I started to feel more healthy. Learn more about vegan nutrition here:

    You can also try recipes that include a lot of fresh veggies, beans, and leafy greens and try replacing chips or unhealthy snacks with things like dried fruit and nuts! Check out some delicious and nutritious recipes below:

    And keep in mind- being healthy isn’t about loosing weight! It’s about feeling good and being happy.

    I’ve had the same problem! A way that I manage my weight is to try to eat natural fruit and vegetables and not any with added preservatives. I agree that a calorie counter can be useful! Also remember that it’s important to get enough nutrition so remember to have fruits and veggies everyday and since you still need protein, try eating some beans and whole grain rice. Good luck!

    If you’re interested in losing weight, you might find one of the calorie counting websites to be useful. I lost 70 lbs. using one a few years back. Of course, make sure you do it healthfully. Foods high in fiber and low in calories are great for weight loss.
