Alright, so out of curiosity… Is anyone else here creeped out about meatless “meat” products? The flavor just scares me.

If it’s too realistic, I’ll start to get paranoid about whether or not I’m actually eating something vegan. And if it tastes too much like actual animal, I’ll be really grossed out by it.

Aiight, I thought it was just me. Pretty much all faux meats are just too strange for me to eat. The fact that they taste like meat just throws me off. There’s only been one that I’ve been able to truly enjoy and that was Gardein’s Savory Stuffed Turk’y. Everything else of theirs is just too real.

I usually don’t them because it is weird for me to eat things that resemble meat lol so yes they do creep me out too!

So far, only gardein products have freaked me out. The beef tips and chik’n tenders are waaaaaaaay too close to the real deal. I still eat them, hesitantly, though, lol.

Is there a specific brand you’re talking about, or just the general faux meat out there on the market? If that’s the case, I love them! :D They portray (and some taste extremely like) meat but they’re not made from killing animals! :D

AH! I DO! :D I thought I was crazy and was like a wierdo… D: I mean I don’t NEED things that taste like meat because I don’t really miss the taste at all , however, its just food. Although I’ve heard those products are highly processed.. I don’t know much about that though

ANYWAYS the first time I was ever going to eat a veggie dog.. I was scared of it XD I made my brother (non-veg) eat it first and he was very reluctant but eventually gave in and ate it and was like yes its vegetarian.. but D: when I ate it at first I couldn’t finish it cause it freaked me out because it tasted like meat same goes for when I ate veggie nuggets.. I could only eat them slow and not finish much.. but now :D I love them XD

No not really. I assume you are talking about the fact that it can taste like meat without being meat. Though if you think about it meat doesn’t really taste good until you add the flavoring to it either with spices or the way you cook it etc.
