Surprised no one posted about it on here yet, guess i’ll be the first. I’m so upset. Just because he’s volunteering with the Humane Society to regain his position in the NFL means that we should overlook the fact that he fought, bred, electrocuted, and hung these innocent animals. I am reading a book about his dogs called “the Lost Dogs” by Jim Gorant if anyone wanted to read it.

I think it is possible to change. Many of us have a past that incorporated exploiting or hurting animals. Yes Vick did do wrong and I don’t believe he should ever have any animal for a pet. However, if he does want to change his life around and start doing the right thing, it should definitely be encouraged. he should have consequences though.

It seems like everyone has forgotten about his crimes. My mother actually told me that she thinks he could have changed “with the right help.” I don’t believe that at all. It takes years to sort out the kinds of mental illnesses that would enable a person to torture animals in the way he did. Not to mention he supposedly now owns another dog.

I read “The Lost Dogs” by Jim Gorant, and it is probably now one of my favorite books. It’s sad and shocking in parts, but I loved it. It has definitely reaffirmed my hate for Vick.

Due to walking so many at my local animal shelter, I have honestly fallen in love with pit bull-type breeds. They are so amazing and are definitely not the monsters they are portrayed as.

The Lost Dogs was a very good book. I am upset by this too, it’s so shady! If he wants to hide the fact that he has a dog, he must not be doing the right thing…..

Life summary : I love animals even more than people

  • jpatr1d

I have always loved animals, no matter what shape, size, color, species they are. I started as a vegetarian a few years ago, but i only knew that i didn't want to eat animal. i stoped for a while when i lost my job and ate what i could. no excuse i know. but soon later to realized my mission in life and purpose. i am here to be the voice of those who do not speak human. i changed my outlook to this because i found a boxer mix dog laying under my porch. she had gotten hit by a car and was severely starved. everyone around me was like leave it alone, you don't know where it came from, but i didn't care i had to save her. i rushed her to the emergency vet clinic where they did immediate surgery on her. despite those peoples commentary i saved a dogs life and from that point on i knew that if people treated a dog that way i wonder how people treat non domestic animals. I researched and came across peta2 where i now am an animal activist and vegan. I continue to help and save animals that i find and plan on never changing my ways for any one.
