I have been with my boyfriend for five years now and we might even attend college together. However, I am vegetarian and he is vegan. My parents just now got used to me being vegetarian even though I haven’t eaten meat for ten years, and would hate me going vegan. I really love him and I don’t want to offend him way by eating animal products with him, like how we often share vegan ice cream together! I want to go vegan with him, but I’m afraid of my parents reactions. What should I do?

first off, he shouldnt be offended if youre not a vegan. he should be glad enough that youre not eating meat. second, if u want to stay vegetarian, just dont eat animal products in abundance when he is around. Also, if you choose to go vegan, your parents should respect your decisions. after all, you’ll be in college =] just choose what YOU want to do, not what will please others.

Do what you feel is right :) If your parents keep saying no to you becoming vegan, you can still make vegan choices ! But then again, it’s your choice. In the end, no one can make you eat anything.

Just go vegan. Why in the world should you be “afraid” of your parents or their reactions? Don’t let them treat you that way. Be strong and do what you know is right.

If you feel it is right for you, then go for it! If we all ate what our parents wanted us to, then we would all be eating cheeseburgers and shrouded in a cloud of guilt.

I want to get into marketing but not have to rely on people which have different morals and worldviews than I do to hire me. While I'm figuring this out, I want to show everyone what I believe in and spur them into action against injustices.

I really cannot say much because there are so many details. I have a new favorite song every day... I am the sterotypical nerd/dork. I absolutley adore horror/gore films, documentaries, and foreign films. I love Edgar Allan Poe, William Shakspeare and Charles Dickens. You could say that i dont have a life because i spend most of my time writing papers, reading, and listening music. I know all these randomn, insane facts. I am what some may call a conspiricy theorist. Even describing myself is a lot. So i guess if you have any questions just ask :D
