If you walk him, can you take him out of the front door on the lead then put his harness on once out of sight?

I recently put a harness on my dog because I read that it is more comfortable for a dog to wear a harness. HE is being really mean, belligerent, bossy, a jerk, and a bastard about it as usual. What should I do??? Help!!! Its MY dog, and I walk him I feed him I give him baths, my dad does NOTHING, and yet acts like its HIS dog and even threatens to give it away. I just want my dog to be happy and comfortable and he won’t let him be. Also, my parents yell at him a lot. And the cats are aloud on the couch and furniture, and my mom, sister, and dad constantly shoo him off and make him sit on the floor (which is NOT comfortable). They won’t even let me put his bed on the floor and he is only aloud in my room at night. My dad is stubborn and thinks he knows everything about animals but he doesn’t, we fight constantly, but when it comes to my dog, it pisses me off! I seriously don’t know what to do here. Help!! And also, my mom secretly “poisons” my food with meat and dairy.
