I have always loved animals, no matter what shape, size, color, species they are. I started as a vegetarian a few years ago, but i only knew that i didn't want to eat animal. i stoped for a while when i lost my job and ate what i could. no excuse i know. but soon later to realized my mission in life and purpose. i am here to be the voice of those who do not speak human. i changed my outlook to this because i found a boxer mix dog laying under my porch. she had gotten hit by a car and was severely starved. everyone around me was like leave it alone, you don't know where it came from, but i didn't care i had to save her. i rushed her to the emergency vet clinic where they did immediate surgery on her. despite those peoples commentary i saved a dogs life and from that point on i knew that if people treated a dog that way i wonder how people treat non domestic animals. I researched and came across peta2 where i now am an animal activist and vegan. I continue to help and save animals that i find and plan on never changing my ways for any one.

My Visit with Farm Animals
August 11, 2012
Was my first interaction with farm animals, as I set out with my boyfriend on an hour and a half drive up north from where I live to Farm Sanctuary, Animal Acres.
It was by far one of the most, if not the most, exciting, beautiful, and amazing experience of my life. Although I hadn’t had anything to eat before hand, it was hot, and I get dehydrated and light headed easily because I’m prone to headaches as most of my mom’s family, it was worth every second of a trip. I posted a link early about Farm’s Work Party volunteer opportunity. That’s what I went out to do to volunteer. I couldn’t contain my excitement as we got off the car. There were gates and behind them were all these sheeps and goats, animals I had never seen in person. I was so confused as where to go until a guy told me to come in. I opened the gate and was so surprised as I was now behind this gate. Surrounded by these animals. The courtyard of the of the sanctuary which was the next gate, and where we all met up for the day was filled with grass and trees and chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese all running around me. People were feeding these animals out of the palm of their hand. Turkeys were gobbling back to us and standing right next to us. I was so astonished… how these animals behaved with us. They were so peaceful, playful, and beautiful in every way. I don’t want to make this a long post… but truly this experience melted my heart… I don’t even know how to fully describe it…It made me so sad and confused… as how people could mistreat these animals. A cow licked me continuously… like a big cat is what it’s sandy tongue felt like. A sheep let me rest my head on it. How soft they were… the pigs were huge.. but nonetheless people were touching they’re big bellies…and they were rolling in the muddy water together. Hearing each animals painful journey to the farm was saddening… but knowing that they were going to be able to live their lives in peace in such an open and free space…let me sleep at night with hope and faith.
