Nobody’s perfect. Before I knew about everything that was going on with animals my parents had gotten me down sweaters, leather boots ect. I didn’t think anything of it because I never thought they were wrong. I feel like a hypocrite wearing them now and telling others about the treatment of animals so this is what I plan to do. I’m going to put all those things in a box along with pictures of what happens to animals that were used to make those items then I’m going to paint my hands red and put hand prints all over the box along with words like torture. I’m not selling them and I will not throw them away because I feel like I can use the box as an example to others and be able to compare animal friendly options with the ones that aren’t animal friendly so people can see that animal friendly clothing is just as good if not better than the alternative.

    Hey @RonnieMorss21,

Places like H&M, Lulu’s, Forever 21, Urban Outfitters, and Charlotte Russe have tons of cute (and cruelty-free) boots! :)

Interesting. Another option is to donate the clothing to shelters so people with very little money will have something warm to wear.

You had a great idea! Once you’re finished with the items, I’d recommend donating them.

I have a few silk and wool garments, no fur though and everything except my shoes is faux leather. I do feel guilty for having these in possession but from now on I don’t plan on buying or contributing to those industries anymore. (I’m worried finding non-leather boots will be challenge though). I love your idea of putting these items to good use by helping animals and getting some good from clothes that are cruel. Good luck! :)
