I read this in the latest “Viva Life” magazine from Viva!
“According to a new study commissioned by the Vegetarian Resource Group in America, the number of vegans in the country has doubled since 2009. Results showed that 7.5 million US citizens classify themselves as vegan and 16 million (5%) identify themselves as vegetarian.”
If fresh food was more accessible I could see it doubling again. But we have places where people can only afford to get soda and chips and produce being shipped for thousands of miles. More organic farms, please.
Wow, really? That’s great! It’s true, we’re still in the minority (in America, at least), but 13.5 million is a big number. I can’t wait to see that number climb further! Great job, guys, let’s keep it up!
