So I’ve been a daiya fan for a while now, but I just discovered their pepperjack shreds!
I don’t know if I just kept missing them while at the store or if Wegman’s just started carrying them, but I’m in love.
I often buy Boca spicy chick’n patties and make a sandwich with veganaise, lettuce, and tomato, but today I tossed some pepperjack shreds on it and was in heaven!
I’m sure I’m totally the last one to the party on this one, but still, I just wanted to share how excited I was about it.
Does anyone else have some exciting vegan foods that you’ve recently discovered?

Walmart sells vegan vegetable broth???!?!? What brand? I’ve been having to pay an arm and a leg for that better than bouillon and this slightly cheaper vegetable bouillon cubes.

I was able to get some wedges the other day. Def disappointed. The taste was ok, but the texture wasn’t what I was expecting. I was hoping to have solid cheese that I could eat on crackers, the wedges have the texture of cheese spread =/ I melted some in a mushroom quesadilla, I almost threw up, waaaaay too rich. I made mac and cheese with it, and same problem =/

I absolutely love vegan chili ‘chicken’ by Sukhi’s! It comes with naan too and you can find it at Whole Foods :D

    I miss Whole Foods.
The nearest one is like a 45 minute drive =[ They had insanely good shells and cheese (Roads End, I believe).
Used to shop there all the time when I had a boyfriend who lived near there, but not anymore =[

The cheapest field roast stuff I’ve found is about $6 here.
That is a problem with Daiya, it melts great, but when I put it on stuff like pizza, it just overwhelms me and starts to taste weird.
I’ve found that the pepperjack tastes great when it’s cold, which is fascinating because vegan cheese is NEVER appealing when cold.

The frankfurters are the only thing I’ll buy of theirs and they work out to 1.16 canadian each so its not that bad. the wedges don’t smell very nice when you cook with them, and they do taste a bit different, more like velveeta.

See, before I was vegan I would buy big blocks of pepperjack and just eat it by itself (I had a little bit of a weight problem, as you could imagine xD), so finding vegan pepperjack was delightful.

I’ve never heard of this “Better Than Bouillon” but as far as broth goes I just go to walmart and buy this vegan broth that they sell there for super cheap. I love it with rice!

I’ve never tried the pepperjack, just because I never ate that kind of cheese back when i did eat cheese. I looooooove the mozzarella and the cheddar is ok

lately, I’ve been loving Better Than Bouillon’s ‘chicken’ and ‘beef’ base. I stir a little bit of the chicken in with this pasta stuff I make and it’s amazing :)

I heard about the wedges. I’m DYING to try them, but Wegman’s here doesn’t have them yet. Hopefully they’ll turn up soon.

I love Field Roast, but it’s all so expensive! Ughh.

We just got the wedges in canada and I’ve started making a brilliant mac & cheese with them, the field roast frankfurters are also really great if you miss hot dogs that are similar to the flesh ones.
