Hello all! I am a brand new user of Peta2 and pretty new vegan (6 months). I was checking out all the amazing swag in the Peta2 store that we can get by helping animals– win win!
I was curious if anyone could tell me what type of things they have received in the past. Did really wanting something in the store motivate your decisions more to participate in a campaign? I feel kind of guilty for using activism to my advantage in that way… does anyone else feel like that?
Thanks for the help with the ethical semi-crisis! 😛
Welcome to the Street Team! The Street Team swag that you can earn with your points are actually great ways to spread a positive message about animal rights! Like, our t-shirts are pretty sweet, but they’re also great for getting the word out about going vegan, ditching the circus, etc.!
If you don’t feel like using your points for merch, you can also “donate” your points back to peta2 No pressure if the merch part isn’t your thing!
When I first joined Peta2 I would use my points to ‘buy’ things that would help with my knowledge, such as the books ‘Animal Liberation’ and ‘Free the Animals’. Then I ‘bought’ items that would help with my activism like posters, stickers etc. And now I try to save for t-shirts, or wearable items, that I can show off and promote AR in my everyday life
