I checked the label on the oriental flavor of ramen noodles and it contains “beef extract” and milk. not veg friendly at all. i’m actually pretty upset this was listed on this site, i’m really glad i read the label before eating it.

Hello , I just wanted to say that TOP Ramen Oriental flavor is really Vegan , I have plenty at home. you have have came across a fake brand, or not the right one.

    It is made of:
Ramen Noodles: enriched flour (wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), vegetable oil (contains one or more of the following: canola oil, cottonseed oil, palm oil), contains less than 2% of salt, sodium tripolyphosphate, potassium carbonate, sodium carbonate, tocopherols, t-bhq.
Seasoning Mix: salt, soy sauce powder (wheat, soybeans, malodestrin, salt) (likely MSG), monosodium glutamate (MSG), spices, hydrolyzed soy, corn and wheat protein (MSG, MSG, MSG), garlic powder, caramel color, onion powder, rice oil, citric acid, didisodium succinate, dehydrated leek, calcium silicate (anticaking agent), disodium guanylate, disodium inosinate.

    BUT :
It is Manuractured in a facility that also processes milk, egg, peanuts, fish and shrimp products.

According to Nissin’s website, “Our Oriental flavor of Top Ramen contains no animal products.” http://www.nissinfoods.com/faq.htm

And sure, if they don’t have the Top Ramen Oriental flavor you can have just the noodles without the packet. If you have Nutritional Yeast, try some of that on there (after draining the noodles). Or try some garlic and/or onion powders (or sauté the real stuff and throw it in after draining the noodles!). Or, use your own vegetable broth–either store-bought or homemade.
