It’s sad though to see those fish in their tanks at the fish stores depending on what store it is. One of the fish stores down here sells those colored frogs & they keep moving them into a different tank but they seem to be dying … I wish I could break them out.

You shouldn’t support pet shops in anyway, they contribute to the overpopulation crisis of animals and often steal animals from the wild.

If there’s somewhere that you can adopt fish from then go for it, but keeping a fish is never humane – how can a tank compare to a river, lake or the sea?!

My fish Ella recently past away ;( and I am thinking of getting another one. (My sister got Ella from school when her class was doing a project on ecosystems, then when it was finished she brought the fish home.) I heard that it isn’t humane to buy animals at a pet store. Would it be wrong for me to buy one there? Is it even humane to have a fish as a pet? (I will take great care of him or her just like I did with Ella.)
