I used to be a vegan when I was younger. As time went on, I found myself making exceptions to eating dairy, then to eating meat until one day, I wasn’t vegan anymore! I’ve been trying to return to at least vegetarianism, but the only time I remember that I am a vegetarian is AFTER I’ve eaten meat! I’ve put a PETA sticker on my phone so I can always remember, and I’ve been going on the site a lot more, but it just slips my mind sometimes. I admit that I cannot quit cold turkey(no pun intended) so I am starting by not eating red meat or fish(since I never liked fish, anyway). Did any of you have trouble when you first started your new lifestyle?
We’re all human and who ever says it’s easy to do anything is lying. Everyone has their weaknesses, even superheroes.
Just remember why you wanted to live meat-free in the first place (for the animals, for the planet, for your health, or all three) and keep it in your mind. Veganism is a commitment, just like being in a loving relationship. You remember why you got together and you fall in love again.
