Hello everyone!! 😀 Sooo, school is right around the corner for a lot of us young’uns and older ‘cooler’ college people too. 🙂 I’m heading to a public school this year, one without (shiver) microwaves and toaster ovens to heat food up in! (NO TEA WITH LUNCH? WTH?!!) Sooo, what are you guys’ favoriteeee vegan foods to bring to lunch? I’d love to see any recipes for shtuff that can be made and eaten cold, like pasta salad, potato salad, anything, or just ideas or comments on what you guys pack in your lunch boxes. 🙂 Thanks!!!!
Veggie sushi! (I’m making that tomorrow), sandwiches such as hummus cucumber and lettuce, left over salads and pasta. I have to say my favorite breakfast/snack is dipping a banana into some greek yogurt! Just freeze the yogurt and it will defrost my noms time…

I personally love to bring hummus with pita bread/melbatoast. It’s probably my favorite food! I also tend to bring vegetable soup (if you put it in a thermos, it’ll stay warm all day) and occasionally a salad with nuts. Happy eating!
I have never attended a school without a microwave. My school sells hashbrowns which are obviously vegan.
I don’t eat lunch at school but you could have fruit cups, granola bar (check the ingredients, they often sneak honey in there), tomato and cucumber sandwiches (or yves has some veg luncheon “meat”), fruit, veggies and dip (http://www.food.com/recipe/best-vegan-ranch-dressing-132916), pita or cracker with hummus, ect.
