I am a vegan, and I love ALL animals including insects. I want to do my upmost best to fight animal cruelty and so on. But I am also a conservative christian and I feel if I am, I can’t be part of PETA. I wanted to join peta2 because I’ve never had a friend before and I wanted to help animals. My family is poor, I have aspergers syndrome, and I have no friends. I’ve been bullied by everybody at my school and they make fun of me for being a christian and a vegan. Nobody likes me, and nobody has ever invited me to a party or anything. My relatives and people at my church have snubbed me for loving animals, but also other vegans I’ve known, like my cousin, won’t accept me because I’m a christian and a republican. Nobody will accept me. But I also feel that I shouldn’t be part of peta2. Can I still be part of peta2?

what terrible people. try to find someone lonley like you…. and befriend them. im so sorry for what your going through. but just because people are mean, doesnt mean you should give up on what you believe in. all that stuff makes you unique!

I have asperger’s too and I know how you feel. You’ll get over it though. I’ve figured out that if you just act like you are perfectly fine the way you are, people will accept you more easily. After I started being an animal activist on peta2, it made me more social and now I have friends and no one could even guess I ever had social problems. You should definitely join peta2! It doesn’t matter what your religion or political party is; this group is purely animal rights!

Of course you belong here! One thing that I love about Peta2 is that even though we have many differences (beliefs, values, religion, political views, etc.) we’re all united by one thing: our love for animals and our passion for stopping cruelty. We’re lucky to have you!

Also, I would love to be your friend! If you need someone to talk to or just want to chat, drop me a message! I would love to get to know you(:

Why can’t you be a part of peta2? So what if you’re republican, christian, etc? Pssssh, I feel so out of place on campus, and I’m almost “too old” for the peta2 appropriate age which is 13-21), but that’s not going to stop me from being here! I love having people to talk to on here, and I love seeing other vegans! We’re all different, and nothing is going to stop anyone from being here, except for themselves! :D So I’m going to be here because I want to, and age is just a number, so it doesn’t matter to me X) If you need someone to talk to, feel free to talk to me! :D A lot of people are friendly on here, and we’re all here to help the animals! :D

I know what it’s like to have relatives that aren’t very understanding too. Stay strong, and don’t listen to what others say to you–it’s your life and you deserve to do what you think is right! I think being a vegan makes you more Christ-like than most christians, since you have chosen to do no harm to God’s beautiful creatures. You should be proud of yourself, hun!!!! Stay strong! :)

Well duh ! Of course you can, now if you are being serious about everything you just wrote I am christian I believe in God & I love animals to death !! & If we were close to each other I would def. hang out with you & be friends !! I’ve learned that even though it’s hard, I do not care what people say behind my back or to my face about what I believe I have learned to handle it ! & live life the way I feel is best ! & I hope that you get the courage to do the same because when you do you will feel better !!!

I don’t think your religion matters
It’s whether you want to be here or not
Peta has a great resources and a great support system.

PETA2 doesn’t care about your political or religious views. PETA2 is all about ending the mistreatment of animals. As a vegan, you totally belong here. Also, there are already some Christian conservative PETA2 members.
