• Should The Hobbit really be blamed?

From what I’ve heard, the animals died in the housing, not on set. Shouldn’t those who housed the animals pay for the deaths, not the ones in the movie?
I mean, if I hired someone to watch my dog for whatever reason and he died, it wasn’t my doing. It would be the fault of who I hired.

I’m really confused on what exactly happened. Can someone please explain?

Animals do not belong in films. We have CGI that is perfectly capable of telling the story with animals in. Most of LOTR/Hobbit are CGI anyway.

To often animals get hurt or killed in the film industry.
