And why did they contradict themselves….I always find that meat eaters and other cruel people do that. People always use the term “They’re human beings not animals”..okay so we’re of a different kind.And then when I say I don;t eat meat people always then like to say “But animals eat other animals..” well didn’t you just say we were not animals.

And I always hate when people say God put cows on earth for us to eat. No they’re here to live.

I may not be christian and i have nothing against christians, but way to stand up for what you believe in and that’s showing how little attention people pay to some stuff, they thought they knew what it said but didnt. Way to go girl!

I’ve gotten in this argument before. I pulled out quotes and the other party was like I don’t remember that. Some people are so stupid, I swear. However, some people will make as many excuses as possible so they won’t have to change. It’s cowardly.

I also believe in God and the Bible.
in the book of isaiah in the old testement, it describes a world free of killing for both humans and animals:
Isaiah 11:6-9. “The wolf shall also dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them. And the cow and the bear shall feed; their young ones shall lie down together: and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. And the sucking child shall play on the hole of the asp, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the cockatrice’ den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain: for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.”

Balaam and the talking donkey is a good animal rights story (Numbers 22). And its also important to note God didn’t give permission for people to eat animals until immediately after the flood (I’m no biblical scholar but I noticed he didnt take plants on the ark; just animals and much plant vegetation was washed away in the flood. ).

I believe in God & the Bible & my mind is always open I’m not going to follow one person just because it’s the flow. So it can go both ways ya know? People can get called afraid to open their minds if they are veg & are just going along with all what the vegs do. I don’t think it’s stupid at all to go veg I really don’t but I don’t think it’s stupid to eat meat. But a big reason people will ALWAYS eat meat because they always have and it’s a meal & food & people are too picky & it’s not wrong to eat meat and they know that so it’s not a big deal.. but to be ignorant & act like it’s werid not to eat meat is wrong. When I was at church they cooked burgers and stuff and a friend was like are you still vegetarian because I didn’t get anything but chips & she acted like it was some big deal and started talking about it like it was stupid.. which really can make you mad so I understand how you feel. I don’t ever say it’s dumb to eat meat because I know how it is but these people can be so rude & btw she aint really a christian she says she saved but she doesn’t act or should I say follow the right road after you get saved but anyways I feel ya on that one but just bringing up God everytime gets old I wish people would stop doing that . Everyone has rights to eat meat or not. God never says you wil go to Hell if you eat meat or don’t and thats the main thing.

Yeah, in the Bible the Garden odds Eden (God’s perfect world) was vegan. Not even the animals were meat eaters. Everything was just….in harmony.
@PassioIsImportant I don’t know of an exact verse that ssays, “I give you fruits and vegetables in place of meat.” But there IS a verse that is similar; Genesis 1:29 which says, “Then God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food.”" Then God goes on to say that every green plant has been made to be food for the animals.
So, this early statement of the Bible tells us that in an ideal world (ie, one without sin) that every single creature is vegan. Pure perfection, huh?

K so I was with some of my friends and two of them started talking about how stupid and dum vegans are, so obviosly I defended Vegans because I want to be Vegan. So then they started making fun of Vegetarians, and Ive heard it all before, (or so I thought) and was just throwing my usual facts at them, but then they said in the bible it says to eat meat and I just quoted 2 things from the bible “Here I give you fruit and vegetables in the place of meat” and “Thou shall not kill” They looked at me and just said “well the bibles stupid.” Then they just started on about where do I think they get the protein in vitamins from. *Facepalm* they r such typical guys, afraid to open there minds to anything. (No offense to all you amazing guys out there who dont support murder and abuse )
