Every year millions enter the bookies in April to put a little flutter on the Death Race, also known as The Grand National. The 2013 Grand National is set to take place on Saturday 6th April, with Liverpool Day and Ladies Day the Thursday and Friday before hand respectively.
Since the year 2000, 33 horses have been killed during the 3 day event, with last years famous deaths of According To Pete and Synchronised, who was put down on the track during the race. Out of the 40 horses that started the Grand National race, only 15 made it across the finish line.
Supporting this spectacle of horror is fashion giant Matalan, who sponsor Ladies’ Day and have races named after them. I urge you now to contact Matalan, who so far have been avoiding discussion on the subject, to encourage them not to support such a horrific excuse for a sport! Please contact them via email and/or via snail mail:

I also ask that you put these posters/flyers on your facebook, twitter, myspace, bebo, bedroom door, locker, everywhere!… display and distribute them near your local betting shop (and if you are really nice please send me pics of what you’ve done)!
