    I’ve been vegan almost 6 months, and I take vitamin supplements. I haven’t really lost any weight or become more energetic, but I’m not anemic or anything, so I think that this is for people who take it to extremes, and neglect healthy balance, probably to increase weight loss. I guess the moral is, stay balanced and don’t put too much into reporters trying to scare you with awful extremes rather than the many benefits.

    If you want to reap the health benefits of a vegan diet—a slim waistline, lots of energy, and good health—you should eat an array of fruits, veggies, beans, whole grains, and other wholesome plant-based foods (not just potato chips!) Check out our guide to good vegan nutrition here: 🙂
