@endymionvse That’s cool to know. Dr Martens has alternately made and discontinued vegan versions, and last time I was looking for a pair of boots it was during an off time.

@emmejo I know dawg. I said that I was about to get those boots and then followed up by saying that doc martens also has vegan boots now. I meant that I was getting the boots I linked to, not that it was a link to the vegan docs. For that go to the DM site and search “vegan”. They have a shoe and an 8-eye boot right now.

@endmiovse, those are combat boots, but not Docs. Doc Martens are a particular brand, not a style. 90% of people won’t notice the difference, but those who care about authentic brands or know much about classic punk styling will notice the lack of the distinctive tag right away if you refer to them as Docs. It’s kind of like calling any canvas sneaker an “All-Star”, those who know the nickname for the real deal will probably assume you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. When in doubt about my audience, I just call them by the name of the style.
