Veg*nising any of their favourite traditional meals will surely help :)

Or how about showing them the ‘junk food’ side of veg*nism with a BBQ (with things like faux burgers and hot dogs).

    Hey @magnus,

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this, never fun to feel like your family doesn’t get where you’re coming from. But honestly, if you stick to your guns and show them that you can be vegetarian and still be the same person you were before (only healthier and happier) I bet ya they’ll come around!

As far as cooking goes, have you used our recipe page? A lot of the recipes on there are way more than “just fruits and veggies” :)

You could try these homemade tofu dumplings (I made them for my non-vegan roommate, and he loved them!): http://www.peta2.com/recipes/vegan-tofu-dumplings/.

Another place I like to look for recipes is the Post Punk Kitchen (a vegan blog). They have some totally easy, inexpensive, and guaranteed delicious recipes! Here’s the blog: http://www.theppk.com/recipes/.

Between the peta2 recipes page and other online vegan blogs, I’m sure you’ll be able to find plenty of options.

Let us know how it goes!!!
