Okay so, I need some advice. I am having trouble coping with all of this information I keep finding about how animals are killed, abused, and tortured for people’s food, entertainment, etc. It breaks my heart and effects me more than I know how to cope with. I have already gone fully vegan and I’m doing everything I can think of to help them. but I feel isolated from everyone in my life. I feel angry and hurt that nobody cares about what is going on. And they don’t understand, mostly because they don’t want to hear it. Any advice on how to ease the isolated feelings and how to cope with all of the horrible things going on?
It can be very frustrating dealing with people who haven’t made the connection between the animals in their homes and their plate. But don’t feel down, nor isolated because you’re not alone. Many people are just like you and it’s a matter of finding them. There are a couple things you can do.
1. Join a local activist group in your area, and find like minded individuals! Meetup is a great place to start looking. (If there isn’t one, start your own. Email email@example.com for materials and info on how to start)
2. Make friends here on the peta2 website that you can talk to and share thoughts with.
3. Start a blog, and share your thoughts, opinions and experiences with the world.
4. Stay positive. You’re doing the right thing and there are many people just like you. Smile!
