Hi, i’m katie and i live in southeast kansas. I’ve been a vegetarian for quite a while but no one around here seems to be also, so I’m looking for people to add me on here that are veggers, and that have info on protests/etc in the area I love to travel (within reason, 4 or 5 hours away) and meeting new people, so i’d love to hear from people!!
I have the same problem.
I live near a big city, but right where I am, there aren’t really that many vegetarians/vegans or grocery stores and restaurants for that matter, which is really just a shame. v_v
That’s one of the reasons why I’ve been happy to see veganism get so much publicity lately (for whatever reason). 😛
It’s gotten better (for me) for a couple of reasons, though: 1) After a while, a two of my animal-loving friends saw how easy being vegan was and went vegetarian and vegan and 2) This international supermarket opened up 25 min away from my house 3 months ago… it’s, like, a godsend… their “vegetarian” section is really everything a vegan could hope for. o:
Even so, I can’t wait until college starts for me next year (“free,” fully-prepared, vegan meals, and I’ll be living in the city -*woot*)
I hope things get better for you soon -maybe you can convert some of your friends, too!
Although I’m a rather fun individual and you’re the same age as my older sister, I would still not recommend you driving up here to visit. 😛
I’m all up for having either of you as a web buddy, though!
I have the same problem as you, I live in a small town in cold Sweden. It’s nearly impossible to gather enough cool vegetarian/vegans to protest or just hang out with. And there’s no Vegan resurants What’s being vegan/vegetarian in Kansas like?
