    All the supermarkets suck in one way or another, but tbh, if you don’t have many vegan food stocking shops like health food shops in your area, you’re kinda stuck with the supermarkets, and even then they do not stock certain items. I have to go to a chinese food store in leicester in order to get cheap firm tofu. I only get to go a few times a year.

    I also found a site where you can buy the new vegan continental sausage range (not sure if they deliver to England, but you can try.

    And I’m not commenting here any more, don’t want to become the star of the thread!

    Well, Sainsbury’s lied about their cotton bag being ethical since I found out that it’s not organic, fair trade (they are made by lowly paid workers in China).

    They also openly support Conservatives who do stuff like cut taxes for the rich, make things harder for the poor, cut youth services, cut public transport etc.
    In fact they get big support from the Countryside alliance who want to bring back hunting and promote shooting as well as occasionally supporting factory farming!
    (and David Cameron wrote for shooting times)

    @RobertMair
    Tesco, well… there’s the sale of live frogs and turtles for human consumption in some stores:

    And the slave labour:

    Sainsbury’s is fairly good for meat-free and free-from foods (own brands and Linda McCartney’s) and not so bad in terms of ethics (feel free to enlighten me if I’m wrong!) so I do my main shopping there and just shop around for any other bits e.g. Redwood’s slices in Morrisons, dairy-free cheese in Tesco etc.

    Tesco is better than Morrisons.
    Morrisons have cruel slaughterhouses (all are bad anyway) and they test on animals.
    Worst thing I’ve seen Tesco do is mislead people about where their pork comes from.
