I haven’t seen much outside of tesco really in terms of fake meat and the like. Its the only place I’ve ever seen vegan cheese but I like theirs so I don’t mind 😛 I usually get my food from there and some snacks from Holland and barrett and so on.
Haven’t seen the Tofutti ice cream in ages. Don’t buy the slices any more due to expensiveness. I like the tescos caramel yoghurt things. They’re so nice. Tescos’ seems to be the only one trying to make more available for the vegan market it seems (out of the big supermarkets).
UK vegan here!
Vegan products overview.
My favourite vegan meat: Redwood, available in health food shops and some Linda McCartney products.
Favourite vegan cheese: Redwood cheezly but Sheese made by Bute Island foods is good as well (you can get a few varieties, mainly cheddar in wholefood shops but if you ever go on holiday to Scotland it’s worth having a look in wholefood shops since they’ll have the full variety), don’t buy Toffuti or however it’s spelt, it’s nasty tasteless stuff and contains palm oil which usually leads to Orangutans being shot.
You probably have already heard of these products but I thought I would share my taste experiences.
PS: You might not have heard that Bute Island Foods have launched a range of vegan continental slicing sausages. http://www.buteisland.com/a_delifrys_home.htm
