It’s time for Salt Lake City to address the issue of carriage horse cruelty on their streets. The next City Council Meeting is Tuesday, September 3, 2013 (Tonight!) Council formal sessions normally begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held in the City & County Building, 451 South State Street, Room 315, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Please contact the Salt Lake City Council and politely ask them to end this cruelty! It would be great if they came back from Labor Day weekend to find their mail boxes and voice mail boxes full of our messages of compassion.
Note: Right now, the City Council is exploring different alternatives that range from banning the carriage trade to regulating it. It is crucial that your correspondence, phone calls and comments be reasonable, logical and not threatening or harassing in nature. Our purpose is to educate and influence. The City Council wants what is best for the citizens of Salt Lake City. It is our mission to convince them that the best interests of Salt Lake City will be served by banning the carriage horse industry.
