I’m trying to go vegan because I love animals a lot…I resist eating a lot of things like curd and butter & even switched to Soyfresh Soy Milk (I never liked milk anyway) but I find it really hard to resist the chocolate & cheese.
Could you mentiin some international companies that have vegan cheese and chocolate (something that tastes like the real deal).
Thanks a lot!
P.S- I tried tofu but I don’t like it…
Rhea (like the bird ;))
VeganEssentials carries zillions of cheeses and chocolates and all sorts of foods and they ship internationally. Even if you don’t want to order, you can still get names of food companies so you can find their websites and see if they sell in your area.
I agree with the Daiya cheese. It’s amazing melted on top of basically anything! You might want to search for health food stores in your area. I know, where I live being vegan isn’t popular, but we even have vegan chocolate in Kroger! There’s just a different section for things. If you call around to different places, just ask if they have vegan cheeses and chocolates. Good luck!
How did you try the tofu? Tofu can taste very different depending on how it’s prepared and cooked. For example, you can make a very good no-egg scramble with tofu, no-cheese cheesecake, oriental style stir-fry etc.
I’ve been using daiya shredded mozzarella cheese lately. It took a little for me to get used to, but I like the creaminess that it gives to foods. I’ve used it on pasta and pizza, and it melts and stretches like the package says. I haven’t tried the slices or the cheddar, but I’ve read that people like cheddar. For chocolate (and ice cream), I’ve been eating the Almond Dream Ice cream bites. So yummy! There are other products here: http://www.tastethedream.com/products/adfrozen_category.php
