@dreamsarebad I agree with @far being a vegetarian is a lifestyle choice, us vegetarians are doing it to help animals. Of course we aren’t doing this to the extent of vegans but we are trying. There are certain limitations to being a vegan, I cannot because I’m already missing important protein from being a vegetarian and have lost a lot of weight. I can’t be a vegan or I would get very sick. Or I would be. But I still choose to help animals the best I can! I never wear fur, only buy products that are not tested on animals etc. so props to you for being a vegan I’m happy for you that you can do it, but some can’t. It doesn’t mean we don’t love animals as much as you, or tht we don’t care about them, etc. it doesn’t make us lower than you.
I started this question mainly because I would like a PULLOVER vegetarian sweater. I know there are the zipper ones but I don’t usually wear zip up sweaters. I much prefer pullovers. I dont know where you got the thought that vegans deserve the sweaters because your so much different.
It doesn’t have to be the same sweater. Just a pullover. I didn’t realize this would start such a mess.

Actually vegetarian can be more than a diet. I know you are one of the vegans who hate vegetarians and feel like we are doing nothing but still. A diet means you choose that to become healthier or loose weight. I chose to be vegetarian for ethical reasons. I’m not a vegan but I still choose vegan options a lot. I also choose to live mostly vegan otherwise like no using animals for entertainment, or material, or testing on animals etc. as do most vegetarians who support animal rights. Yes going vegan helps more than going vegetarian but you can’t say that going vegetarian doesn’t help at all all you are going to do is scare people away.

I agree with dreamsarebad. I think that vegan sweater and the veg zip hoodie is enough.

Vegan and vegetarian aren’t the same thing, vegetarian isn’t actually just someone who still consumes animal products that aren’t meat. Vegetarian just means a plant based diet and you can eat no eggs, milk or meat and still be veggie. A vegan is someone who makes an ethical choice to not consume any animal products in any form to not further the suffering of sentient beings.
There shouldn’t be separate sweaters on here because its not the same thing, and there are hundreds of sweaters that say vegetarian. We don’t need to pander to the people who aren’t helping.

Hey @Shubbs,
Check out our vegetarian zip hoodie here: http://www.petacatalog.com/products/peta2_Vegetarian_Zip_Hoodie-171-29.html. You can still rock it after going vegan!

as @FAR said, they only make the vegan sweaters because they would like for every one to go vegan. When i was vegetarian (not to long ago {about 6 months ago}) I thought the same thing as you, but someone on the old forms explained it to me, I think it was one of the people from peta2. But even so, If you say you will become vegan in a few months, why waste your money? Save it! its kinda like a goal you can set for yourself! Trust me you will be more proud wearing a vegan seatshirt

I don’t think they necessarily should make any more vegetarian options. I’m only vegetarian myself but peta’s goal for everyone is veganism so I don’t think they are going to make many vegetarian options.

While the choices that FAR presented were nice, I agree that there should be more vegetarian friendly choices. Maybe something that says “Vegetarians save lives” with animals around it. It takes time to adjust into veganism just as much as it did to go into vegetarianism.

Hi guys! I was looking through the catalog and I saw the Vegan sweaters, I absolutely love them but I can’t wear them because I’m not a vegan.
I just started to be a vegetarian not long ago, and I’m not aloud to become vegan until I’ve been a vegetarian for a few months..
Anyways, moral of the story, I think we should get similar sweaters that say vegetarian aswel. I would defiantly buy them!!Who agree?
