Its really amusing but, you are right going vegan isnt the best way to force it on them. I dont think I am forcing but, just if they cant accept it and make fun of it all the time it would grow annoying very very FAST. Trust me. I guess it really depends though I have started a site as well should be up soon im working on the CGI, and php development right now so you can check it out. I am doing all the coding by hand but, its so WORTH it! Perhaps when I add more content to it I can start branching out more groups and members. I guess at this point its not like I really care about that relationship crap just has been rather annoying since I deal with work, outreach, and just spend time on the computer with development and debugging Gah! Yea!

When I first met my boyfriend, Ben, I told him I was vegetarian and why. Without me even forcing my beliefs on him or asking him to go vegetarian with me, he just did it all by himself. I think if you found the right person for you, they will accept your vegetarian/vegan lifestyle and want to convert themselves. If not, you shouldn’t force your beliefs on them, but rather tell them it would mean so much to you if they considered it. (:

@silencescreams, Oh I see. So the circular means that we’re equal to other creatures right. I had imagined it hollow in the middle and the animals would make up the line for the circle lol. I just asked my boyfriend what he thinks and he doesn’t agree with either of them. He thinks it’s more cone shaped and humans wouldn’t be in it at all because there is a conflict of interest since we’re the ones making the diagram.

I think its important to let your gf or bf come to a decision to be vegan on their own. My boyfriend eats meat, which isnt MY choice, but i’m not going to hate him for making his choice. What I do is encourage us to go to veggie friendly restaurants, keep vegan food in the house, and include him in my animal rights activities. That way he can decide for himself. I find if you try to force the issue and “convert” someone, they wont be in it wholeheartedly, and will probably quit at some point.

I guess the main sacrifice like my friend shes a girl and vegetarian but, I dont like her in the way more than friendship. She goes the main thing of being vegan or vegetarian is being alone forever which is a sacrifice I suppose alot people have to make. Perhaps that is a higher percentage in itself.

Yeah, I don’t know any vegan girls or vegetarian guys, maybe in a couple of years in a bigger forum for college I will find more AR supporters. (Though obviously, I better not get my hopes up)

@pyth0nc0der0 my bestfriend/neighbor growing up and her brother were both adopted (different parents) and though always aware of her adoption she always excepted her non biological parents as her own and did not look for her biological ones, so there can be exceptions

Ha Dagmar thats pretty crazy! yea, its a rare find almost as rare as finding a unique item in DnD tabletop I know thats a bit cheesy. I did go on one date with this girl who was the president or something at UCSC animal rights banana slugs for animals or something. However, we just met in person for the first time and guess she liked me but, goes “o I like you alot! but, I cant like you” HAHA wow… thats um weird? Maybe some people are “too compassionate” ? ha thats a weird statement.

I’ve only met two vegans in person in my life. One is pres of the Veg Society at my school and the other was a woman who was old enough to be my mom at an antique show. Lol.

haha rainbow slut its hard to find them around around anywhere its just a complicated process in itself. I will say this though that I did actually come across a vegan girl but, again its more like this “a vegan who eats fish and eats free range chicken” I guess the fact that a liar is hard understand is something that is misunderstood. Then again maybe those who are vegans or vegetarians dont understand the full principle that one is trying to represent. Then again my friend said just go back to college and pursue a masters degree you will find vegan girls again. Thats a pretty stupid idea I suppose it really depends if I were to get more in depth by creating a bigger name within the community people will see like minded folks in the age range. Converting someone is hard and when you convert a girl who goes vegan/vegetarian JUST because you ask doesnt seem all that right either? Hmm Thanks!

tofu monster what I meant was that wordpress has ALOT of issues but, thats just me. But, yea I think where I am at most of the area im in is a haven for vegetarians unless you go to to Southern California. I guess im growing old fast by being on the computer and just working with no free time at all. I never worked those high school jobs at all haha just did software development for a small real estate company made some wicked cool bank software and developed more protocols for the company. But, yea keep me updated if you need help with the company

Now for silencescreams Yea, I agree having kids is kind of lame because its becoming overpopulated but, then again adopting is kind of a pain because majority of the time the adopted kids go “im gonna find my REAL parents” o thanks… well have fun with that. Still having the mindset of animal rights and veganism I know most girls or mostly guys make fun of it while girls may be more compassionate about it but, still sometimes be like “i love animals but, pigs make bacon and they are so cute to eat! ” So I agree it is hard to identify the one!
