Offer to cook yourself (like many have said), show her the health benefits of being veg (parents are often happy about health for their kids), and show her where you get your protein and iron from (to reassure her that you won’t lack in health.) Hope I helped. Best of luck!

I agree with the others: cook for her (and the family), maybe you could make it a surprise!
Also, have a serious chat with her about how much it means to you, and why you’ve decided to make this decision.

You can offer to cook your own food or to help her cook and suggest foods the whole family can enjoy together.

Try cooking meals not for yourself, but for the whole family. It’s only a matter of time before your mom will realize that being meat-free may not be so crazy.

Try to find some fun vegetarian recipes to cook, and ask her to cook -with- you, not FOR you.

Try to get her to watch some videos so that she’ll understand why you want to stop eating meat.
There’s a list of good videos on my profile page.
If she refuses to watch one of the videos, try to cut a deal with her.
Agree to do something special for her if she watches one of the videos (preferably more than one).

I’ve recently turned veg for about a month now. My mom doesn’t really agree with the fact that I don’t eat meat anymore. She thinks that cooking for me would be too hard and she always comes up with other excuses trying to make me eat meat. I love my mom a lot and I’m really close with her. Any ideas on how to persuade her to let it be? I don’t plan on eating meat anymore. I don’t want my relationship with my mom to go downhill. Thank you guys
