Is it okay to support animal rights but make the personal choice not to become vegetarian/vegan?

You can’t support Animal Rights if you feel eating them is fine. That’s animal Welfare and is a very different thing.

@viviforsuret, of course you can still speak out for animals! Check out the actions you can take here: http://www.peta2.com/actions/

Keep in mind, though, that the best thing you can do to make a positive impact on animals is to go vegan! It’s super easy, and there are a LOT of tasty vegan foods if I do say so myself (http://www.peta2.com/recipes/).

Let us know if you have any questions concerning veganism! Your fellow street team members will be happy to help. 🙂

What you want to do is totally up to you. This is PETA. People for the ethical treatment of animals. It all comes down to ethics. We aren’t the no-meat society. We aren’t the League of Vegans. If you treat animals with respect, whatever that constitutes for you, you are doing right by animals. Maybe for you, that means taking up hunting and killing your own meat to bring everything back to a grassroots level. (I know, not very practical unless you’re in the country). Maybe it means boycotting factory farms. If you still feel conflicted, think about it this way- no one condemns a snake for eating a mouse. I believe it’s possible for carnivores to still respect their prey, so long as you are conscious about it. Bon chance!

    I disagree with lucky7amira.
I’m going to tell you the same thing the old members of this board told me when I thought I couldn’t do it.
Yes you can. Just do it. There are no justified reasons to continue consuming animal products. It’s not difficult, it’s not expensive, and it’s healthy if you do it right. There are no reasons NOT to be vegan, especially if you’re concerned about animal rights.
