Hi all:) … I need to start taking my vitamins, and I found out Vitamin B12 is important. What are some names of vegan vitamins, and could I buy them at wal-mart, walgreens, or cvs? please help! thanks:D
What I meant by “not needing supplements” is you can find B12 and other hard-to-get vitamins with foods, such as soy/almond/rice milk, that are fortified with them. I wasn’t sure if that were clear in my post, since I have a habit of not explaining things clearly.
You don’t necessarily need supplements, although they can be helpful. If you have a Wegman’s store near you (not sure where you live), then they will probably have what you are looking for. However, you can obtain B12 from cereals and soy/almond/rice milks, as well as Yves meatless products (Yves Good Dogs, lunchmeats, etc.)
Depends on where you live.
For me, it’s cheaper and more convenient to purchase supplements online.
The “NOW” brand is the brand that I usually get.
They sell vegan and non-vegan products.
For their vegan products, there will usually be an indication on the product page or on an image of the product container.
If you’re interested in one of their products but aren’t sure if it’s vegan, you can search for the product at their site or contact them and they’ll let you know.
I purchase from whichever online store has the best price. AllStarHealth usually has the best price and they usually ship fast too.
