• What is veganism?

The media portrays veganism as a diet. Industries and politicians portray veganism as extremism. Big animal welfare groups portray veganism as too hard for the general public to understand. People that can’t stand the thought of animal rights portray veganism as craziness. Hollywood portrays veganism as the butt of a joke. The reality is that veganism is a philosophy/lifestyle/social justice movement based on a few ethical principles, such as: Justice, freedom, non-violence, empathy, compassion peace, and love. Now tell me, what is so “extreme, hard, crazy, funny, or dietetic” about Justice, Freedom, Non-Violence, Empathy, Compassion, Peace, and Love? Those are all simple and great principles/virtues to live by.

Veganism is NOT an eating disorder.
However vegans do get a bad rap and are called crazy because of the more extreme elitist vegans that go around giving vegans a bad name by causing trouble. Dietary choice should be just that, choice. However some vegans try to intimidate others rather than calmly educate.

@keepTHEfaith that’s absolutely crazy. I had to do a research paper on eating disorders, so people saying things like that just goes to show how little they actually know. ;)
