    Hello,

I have extended family that mock me all of the time about being a Vegetarian.
They make comments such as “Do you want some beef bolognase, the cow used to be a vegetarian”

I do not know how I am supposed to respond to this, as it is not my close family and not related by blood, only law.

    Thank you

I usually just laugh off jokes, my own father has said worse things. Such as when I was 8 years old I turned vegetarian since he kept saying “I’ll cook your rabbit in a stew!” If it persists just tell them to consider your feelings.(:

Just ignore them. Don’t give them any fuel to add to the fire. There probably just looking for a reaction from you. Sometimes there is just nothing you can do, and you have to just remind yourself that what your doing is more important then their words.

My fam does that still sometimes after being a veg for 4 years. It’s annoying and immature, but I’ve learnt to ignore it.

everyone does that to me too. it sucks, but you just have to ignore it. if you try arguing anything, they’ll just come up with even stupider comments. it’s not worth the arguments. stay strong! (:
