Has anyone heard about this “yarn bombing” (http://ti.me/moayWD) phenomenon? What do y’all think about it? Anyone here into knitting? Discuss. :) —Whitney from peta2

I had not heard of this but I think it is really neat. The road crack ones were definitely my favorite pictures. If unwanted the yarn is definitely a lot easier to remove then a lot of things so would prob. not cause any problems. As a lot of yarns are typically made of cotton I have no problem with it and actually wish I had the skills. I don’t knit or crochet but I wish I knew how.

I LOVE Yarn bombing! Someone, well, probably a few people, yarn bombed our downtown in time for this once a month art gathering we have during the warmer months. I would love to get in on some yarn bombing, haha!

I live just a few minutes away from Saltburn, where we have (apparently) ‘World Famous’ yarn bombers:

I think it’s a fab idea, I just wish I could well enough to join in – I’d make animal-rights related ones! (with synthetic wool of course!).

I love knitting and crocheting, but I’m not the kind of knitter/crocheter who makes cozies for everything imaginable. I personally don’t know why the heck an apple would need a cozy, but some people want their apples to be kept warm or something lol so whatever suits them I suppose. *shrugs* However, I have never heard of this “yarn bombing” before either. Although it’s sort of ridiculous it’s kinda cool as well lol. The picture of the bus was the best; It must have taken a long time to make that giant cozy.
