So, I’m a big health nut, and I avoid chemical/processed stuff most of the time.

That got me thinking, peta2/PETA does advertise vegan food, but some things aren’t really that healthy…(like oreos and ramen, for example).

So what do you think about vegan and health? Do you eat food as long as they’re vegan and don’t mind all the processed stuff, or do you avoid stuff like that too?

I’m human – I try to eat healthy vegan foods but I still give in to junk food occasionally!

I avoid the processed stuff. I’ll eat vegan “junk food” sometimes if its organic. I try to eat as healthy as I can though.

    Hey @Sagojyou,

We like posting things about junk food, cause let’s be real, people in high school and college live off of that stuff, and we also want to make veganism seem super easy! However, our recipes section has TONS of healthy meals that are also super easy to make. :) Check it out at http://www.peta2.com/recipes

I stick to a vegan, often organic and raw diet and stay away from processed stuff when I can. Learning to bake is the best because you can use simple organic ingredients and you don’t need to worry about preservatives, dyes and stuff. Making your own nut and seed butters is kind of fun! It’s really hard to go 100% pure unprocessed though, like making your own soy milk, so you just have to decide where you are comfortable drawing the line for yourself.
