Veganize Your Cafeteria

Veganize Your Cafeteria campaign
We've all wished that our school cafeterias would serve vegan muffins and pancakes, faux sausage, "chicken" nuggets, veggie burgers, nondairy cream cheese, tofu, and even vegan ice cream (is your mouth watering yet?). But did you ever realize how easy it could be to make it happen? Download our "Veganize Your Cafeteria" pack, take a look at the following actions, and get started!

Give your school the Veg Advantage!
Veg Advantage is an online resource designed to help schools and universities learn more about available vegetarian options. It includes hundreds of product and recipe recommendations. The Web site also offers contact information for food-service providers to help make delicious meatless options available at your school!

We also offer a letter that you can download, personalize, and use to explain your concerns. All you have to do is pass on the materials to your school's dining officials and follow up with them.

Collect signatures to show support of your efforts.
Print copies of the petition in our "Veganize Your Cafeteria" pack, gather as many names and e-mail addresses as you can, and then show the petitions to your school's dining officials. Mail copies of the completed petitions to the address below, and we'll reward you with 50 Street Team points for each e-mail address that you get.

This is an excellent way to keep lines of communication open with food service and help them to add delicious vegan food that students enjoy. Work with your dining service and Veg Advantage to make sure that all the vegan food offerings are well-liked and in high demand.

Increase the Demand for Vegan Products

Once you have new vegan foods, it's important that lots of people eat them! This will ensure that food service keeps them on the menu and continues to add more vegan selections.
