Fast Food Nation, featuring Wilmer Valderrama (That ’70s Show), Paul Dano (Little Miss Sunshine), Ashley Johnson (What Women Want), and Greg Kinnear (Little Miss Sunshine), is an eye-opening look at the sketchy-ass stuff that goes on behind the scenes in the fast-food industry—from the animal and worker abuse to the feces-filled burgers. The film provides a fast-paced, no-holds-barred account of the shady dealings, the massive health risks, and the downright evil human and animal abuse that lurk behind the scenes in the fast-food industry. Famed director and all-round badass Richard Linklater directs an A-list cast in this film, which is based on the best-selling book Fast Food Nation by Eric Schlosser. Along with Wilmer, Paul, Ashley, and Greg, Catalina Moreno Sandino (Maria Full of Grace) and Ethan Hawke (Before Sunset) create a complex, compelling movie that’s also fun as hell. If you’ve ever wondered exactly what goes into making a fast-food burger, you can find that out all the gory details while being drawn into the stories of the different people who work together to create that all-American phenomenon known as the fast-food meal. As you might imagine, at peta2, we are very psyched about this movie, both because it’s awesome and has frickin’ Wilmer Valderrama in it and because it’s going to inform countless people about exactly how bad the meat industry sucks.
