The easiest way to save dogs and cats!
When you tune in to Dancing With the Stars, you can’t help but become smitten with everyone’s favorite judge, Carrie Ann Inaba—and with good reason. She’s vivacious, she’s sweet, and she never berates the contestants with putdowns or nasty comments. You can just tell that she’s got a heart of gold.
So it was no surprise when we learned that all of Carrie Ann’s kitty companions are rescues and that she strongly believes in spaying and neutering. We knew right then that she was the perfect person to star in peta2′s latest ABC public service announcement (PSA).
Carrie Ann understands the importance of spaying and neutering cats and dogs to help control animal overpopulation. “First of all, it’s really important to spay and neuter your pets because there are so many, and what’s so sad is that people are breeding them and then we’re putting them to sleep,” she told us. “It’s like, we’re breeding ones that are never going to be loved, and why do it in the first place?”
Exactly! In the U.S. alone, an estimated 7 to 8 million unwanted dogs and cats wind up in animal shelters every year. Because there aren’t enough good homes for them, roughly half will be euthanized. But this doesn’t have to be the case—spaying and neutering saves lives! It’s as easy as ABC, as Carrie Ann will tell you.
See, what’d I tell ya? Heart of gold. Now take Carrie Ann’s lead and do your part. You can help end animal overpopulation by becoming part of the solution.
