Hellogoodbye and peta2 have been friends for years. From their self-titled debut EP to 2006’s Zombies!, Forrest Kline and crew have been perennial peta2 favorites. Now, after a four-year disappearance that left fans begging for more, the SoCal indie pop-rockers are back with their most critically acclaimed album to date and a new peta2 public service announcement (PSA) that’s even cuter than the last—not an easy accomplishment! Check out Hellogoodbye’s new peta2 PSA and take our pledge to be fur-free!

If you’re an herbivore—like Hellogoodbye frontman Forrest Kline—with a green thumb, you can grow your own veggies. If you go in for “just a trim” and leave the salon with a heart attack–inducing cut, don’t sweat it! You can grow your hair out. If you want to take a stand against an industry that barbarically kills millions of cats, dogs, minks, foxes, rabbits, and countless other animals every year, you can grow your own fur and let animals keep theirs!

There is nothing fashionable about wearing fur. The industry’s top designers and brands, including Stella McCartney, Betsey Johnson, Calvin Klein, Urban Outfitters, and Forever 21, just to name a few, have all made the compassionate choice to pledge to be fur-free. We all know by now that wearing fur is never acceptable when there are so many alternatives available. That’s why Hellogoodbye is asking fans to show a little kindness—grow your own fur and let animals keep theirs.
