Can you pick up the phone? Then you have what it takes to...
Is traffic backed up around your local hot spot for shows? Are girls lined up around the building screaming? If you’re witnessing this, there’s a good chance that Never Shout Never is playing in your town tonight. Hailing from Joplin, Missouri, Never Shout Never started in 2007 as the acoustic-pop project of a teenage heartthrob named Christofer Drew.
After hearing his upbeat pop melodies and seeing our “Meet Your Meat” video playing on his MySpace under the heading “Vegetarianism! Give it a try?” we knew that Christofer and peta2 were a fit as perfect as peanut butter and jelly. We got a chance to catch up with Christofer at SXSW to get his thoughts on why he went vegetarian, why the youth of today are important in creating positive changes, and why animal testing breaks hearts.
Take it away, Christofer!
I think I know why girls go so crazy over Christofer Drew … he’s creating music straight from the heart, his rule for leaving a comment on his MySpace asks fans to say “something positive about the person below you,” and he helps save about 100 animals every year by following a vegetarian diet. Compassion, positivity, and talent—all wrapped up in a cute cruelty-free package? I think it goes without saying that peta2 is in love with Never Shout Never! If you’re feeling the love for Christofer like we are, check out his MySpace page for tour dates near you and watch him in action in our campaign video for “Animal Testing Breaks Hearts!”
Last but certainly not least, if you haven’t taken Christofer’s lead and pledged to follow a vegetarian diet, now’s your chance. Don’t worry—it’s easier than you might think! You can check out a list of tasty products that you can find in your local store here. Not only will you be saving the lives of 100 animals a year just like Christofer, you’ll also be saving the planet. So what are you waiting for?
